Robert, Clara and Johannes: A Portrait in Song

  • Bob Boas House 22 Mansfield Street London, England, W1G 9NR United Kingdom (map)

Join us for an enchanting evening celebrating the music of Robert Schumann, Clara Schumann, and Johannes Brahms.

This programme features a selection of solo songs and duets, including excerpts from Robert Schumann’s Myrten, a deeply personal song cycle composed as a wedding gift for his beloved Clara.

The performance will be brought to life by Allyn Wu (baritone), Lizzie Estrada (soprano), and Thomas Scott (piano). Adding depth to the evening, Richard Stokes, esteemed professor of Lieder at the Royal Academy of Music and renowned expert on German art song, will provide illuminating insights.

Don’t miss this unique opportunity to experience the rich emotional tapestry of 19th-century German Lieder, blending music and storytelling in an unforgettable performance.
